History
In 1949, Mr. Yorgo Şenlikoğlu laid the foundations of Şenlikoğlu Inoks in an atelier in Karaköy, İstanbul. After an enlightening business trip to Italy, he learnt about stainless-steel welding techniques and started serving to Turkish chemicals industry.
At that time, stain-less steel business was premature in Turkey but Mr. Yorgo Şenlikoğlu quickly became a pioneer. As the Turkish industry developed, he supported chemical industry companies with mixers, heat-exchangers and reactors and lowered Turkey’s dependency on import. He commissioned the first phenol-formaldehyde plant in Turkey. He was a visionary and hard-working entrepreneur who contributed to development of Turkish industry and chemicals industry, under tough conditions.
After 1980, second generation took lead and sustained Mr. Yorgo Şenlikoğlu’s reliable business traditions. Şenlikoğlu Inoks Kimya Tesisleri San. ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded legally in 1982 and the business started to transform with a more institutional structure. Starting with 1995, Şenlikoğlu Inoks moved towards export, specifically to surrounding regions Europe and MENA. First export to Jordan and Belgium took place in 1995 and 1997, respectively.
In 2009, the management invested in a higher-capacity manufacturing facility in Tekirdağ, which allowed them to extend their product range and services with higher volume.
Today, the business philosophy is turning into combining the positives of both being a family corporation and institutionally structured company. Both the second and third generation family members and professionals are managing the company with an entrepreneurial approach. Despite this transformation, the management is proud to see that products delivered decades ago are still used by Şenlikoğlu Inoks’ long-standing customers.
